The Taizé Community is an ecumenical Christian monastic fraternity in Taizé, Burgundy, France
These meditative sessions using traditional Taizé chants will be held in the quiet of the St Bede’s chapel.
Everyone is welcome. You will find that the chants are beautiful short phrases sung to music which are repeated several times over, helping you to enter a peaceful, prayerful space.
If you have never experienced a Taizé gathering before, why not come along and give it a try? You don’t need to be an experienced singer and if you prefer, you can simply sit and listen.
You are very welcome to stop for a cuppa or to bring your own sandwiches and stay for lunch afterwards.
These free drop-in events will be held on the second Wednesday of each month from 12pm until 1pm.
