Mary Oliver

Learning to pay attention to the natural world is the source of so many of the poems by the twentieth century poet Mary Oliver. She invites us to look with wonder and find joy in what lies around us whether it is a grasshopper or a flock of birds flying overhead. She said of herself that she was saved by the beauty of the world and by poetry. Come and explore some of Mary Oliver’s poems and discover in it a springboard to awe and contemplation.
