Advent Weekend Retreat: Carriers of the Divine

Making use of image and poetry this Advent Retreat will reflect on the biblical accounts of the ordinary earthed experience of Zechariah, Elizabeth, John the Baptist and Mary. We will explore how as human beings we are created as ‘carriers’ of the Presence of God, infecting the world with thoughtful words, patient hope and the powerful purpose of the Divine Life brought to us in Jesus.

The retreat begins on Friday evening with some introductory input and space for some preliminary reflection.  We invite folk to hold the quietness as far as is possible overnight.  We then we resume on Saturday morning when Bridget will guide us through the day – weaving together input, personal reflection space and some gentle sharing for those who wish.

Facilitated by Bridget Macaulay. Bridget is a priest, artist & Ignatian trained spiritual director working in West Cornwall. She is also co-founder of the Vessel Trust which explores the practical living of Christian faith in the everyday world.
