There are several different courses at St Bede’s for those who are interested in discovering more about Ignatian spirituality.

All are ecumenical and experiential in approach and planned to build on each other for those who wish.

Retreat in Daily Life

‘Exploring Prayer’ is aimed at those who are looking to deepen their understanding of prayer and is shorter in length:. There is also an ongoing Ignatian prayer group which takes place fortnightly. [Please ring the Office for details of this: 01904 464 900]

‘Personal and Spiritual development.’ [PSD] is longer and, as well as exploring prayer, aims to introduce Ignatian spirituality at more length:

For those who wish to learn the basics of Spiritual Accompaniment there is the two year course: ‘York Ignatian Spiritual Accompaniment Course’, YISAC for short. Details of the next course will be available in the new Term (Commencing ~September 2018).

This can be followed by an interim year (DISAY) with some extra input and practical work.
We offer mentoring for those who have experience and are interested in directing others in the full Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius in the 19th Annotation retreat.

A leaflet that gives further information on all of these course can be viewed here.
