Spiritual Direction from St Bede's
Spiritual direction encourages you to explore a closer relationship with God. In the midst of a busy life, many people find it difficult to notice God’s action in their daily affairs, yet, at the deepest level, all of us long for a more conscious experience of God’s love.
In spiritual direction, you are encouraged to reflect on the experiences of your daily life and find in them the pattern of God’s presence.
Spiritual Direction is not about being ‘directed’ but rather about hearing yourself explore what it going on in your life and become more aware of what it is you are searching for. Your director will help that exploration and at times offer suggestions as to how to take it deeper.
We have a list of people who offer Spiritual Direction based around the York area and we are happy to try to make connections for those who are looking for direction. An offering of between £15-30 per hourly session is suggested, and it is good to meet with your director about every month to six weeks, but these details may well vary according to the circumstances of each one.
