Spiritual Accompaniment Support [SaS]
This is a very informal forum for anyone who is currently involved in spiritual accompaniment, either formally or informally, and who has done some training in this field.
Its purpose is to provide a chance for some regular updating and input once or twice a term on topics that might be relevant and also to provide an informal setting where we can share ideas, pool resources and meet up with people involved in a similar and often quite isolated work.
Advertising for the events is done by post or email each term rather than through our regular brochure.
Past events have include a day on Discernment in ongoing Direction by Andrew Walker [Responsible for the Spiritual Direction Training Program at Lombard St London]; two sessions on an exploration of spirituality and mental health By Annie Borthwick [Chaplain at The Retreat] and a day led by Therese Pratt [Psychotherapist and Spiritual Director based in Durham] on the tools we borrow from other disciplines.
